Peek-A-Boo! I Love You!: newborn to 1.5 years old
(5 weeks, 45 min. per week, 5-10 babies with parent)
In five lessons, learn new songs, lullabies, and ways to say "I love you" using touch, rhymes, literature books, and music. Activities include instrument play, American Sign Language, and dances that stimulate baby's eyes, body and mind. Parents connect with other families in the community and learn how music improves the child development process. We expose baby to a variety of music in many styles & languages, helping her to relax and strengthen vital neural connections. Hear new and familiar tunes, including Caribbean, Korean, Maori, and Welsh songs. Home Materials include: Book, CD, Duck Wash Mitt, Baby Duck Gertie Ball, and Poster.

Set your baby's day to classical music. With a little more Tchaikovsky in your "Twinkle, Twinkle" repertoire you'll discover new ways your baby benefits from the classics as you both develop an appreciation for the world's most respected music. Each lesson features new ASL signs that will help you communicate with baby in different situations, new developmental activities and songs you can sing for all the places you go together: the swimming pool, the store, the park, the doctor, and more. Materials include: Book, CD, Village Cage Bell, ASL handouts and Poster.

Find out how classic Mother Goose songs, rhymes and play activities provide developmental benefits for your child. As your baby grows into a toddler these activities change to meet their developmental needs. The social setting in our class, the musical activities and Sign Language provide a rich environment for cognitive and emotional growth. The home materials and weekly handouts give you the tools you need to do all the learning activities at home with your child. Materials include A CD, activity pamphlet, 2 large egg shakers and weekly handouts.

Creatures at the Ocean: 19 months to 3.5 years old (5 weeks, 60 min. per week, 5-10 children with parent)
Ahoy there mates! Head to the beach with pretend play, music, instrument play, songs and dances about the ocean and all it’s creatures. Thematic story times, snacks, & crafts make this a summer adventure you don’t want to miss. The last day is a Hawaiian beach party! Materials include: CD, 2 seashell castanets, storybook template, 5 picture folders, ocean drum craft, lei, & handouts.

Hop on board the Zoo Train and ride to the Zoo with your child!Bring your own stuffed animal for the petting zoo. Wear polar bear paws and learn about real animals at the zoo. We sing, dance, play instruments and use music to help children regulate emotions and develop social skills. Each week includes new music, instruments, snack & story time. The last week we make an animal puppet. Home Materials include: Book, CD, Animal Shaker, Poster and craft.

Let’s Play: 2 to 4 years old

All the ways you play—at home, in the school yard, during your family time together—is this month’s theme. In class we’ll play “Follow the Leader” and other playground games to help your child develop listening and singing skills while strengthening movement and hand-eye coordination. Learn new songs, dances and instrument games that teach your child how to play well with others. In your Home Kit, find more activities, songs, and games you can do together to play and learn at home too. Home materials include a Mini Tambourine, Home CD, Family Activity Guide and handouts.

Your child will experience the concept of fractions through hearing and playing quarter and eighth notes. In class we’ll do “call & response” activities to the rhythmic sounds of African music, dance, pretend play, and ensemble instrumentation. Your child will sharpen listening & attention skills, as well as fine-tune her ear to finding patterns. Materials include a CD, family activity guide, drumsticks and rhythm cards.

Confetti Days: 3.5 to 5 years old

It’s a new party every day! In this circus themed class we ride a “carousel”, pretend to be clowns, walk on a “tightrope”, dress up for the grand parade and play games on the midway. We make musical instruments, puppets and other fun crafts each week, have snack & storytime, play instruments, and dance. We learn songs like "De Colores," "Pop Goes the Weasel," and "Looby Loo." Materials include: CD, pair of Confetti Bells, Story Kit, Picture Folder set and 5 crafts.

Under the Rainbow: 4 - 6 years old

Keep your eyes open for a rainbow this month. In class we’ll explore the concept of high and low sounds with Irish music, tricky leprechauns, and the colors of the rainbow. We’ll also match sounds with pictures, and match pictures with the written words to build lasting literacy skills. With more activities sprinkled throughout the story in your Home Kit, you and your preschooler can practice together the skills needed now and later in school. The rhythm and glockenspiel activities will prepare your child for Kindermusik for the Young Child or piano lessons. Home materials include a CD, Family Activity Guide (includes class story Under the Rainbow), and rainbow dance streamer.

Around the World: 5-7 years old
(5 weeks, 3 hours per week, 5 - 8 children)
Children travel to a different country each week exploring Japan, Africa, Germany, England, & Mexico. They experience regional food, music, song, dance, crafts, and traditions of each place. The children's home materials include a CD, “suitcase” to put their travel stickers on, items to complete 2 crafts each day, maracas, a din-din drum, & picture folders from each country. The last day ends with a Mexican fiesta and piñata party!

Adventures Near & Far: 5-7 years old
(5 days, 3 hours per day, 5 - 8 children)
Children study 5 different habitats around the world. They will explore the rainforest, artic tundra, mountains, meadowlands, and ocean. Through song, dance, instrument play, dramatics, story time and crafts the children learn about these habitats and the animals that live in them. Home materials include a CD, 5 picture folders, materials for 10 crafts & instrument. Healthy snack served each day.
3NF - Mon. - Fri. 1:00-4:00pm, 8/2-8/6

Tell me a Tale: 5-7 years old
(5 weeks, 2 hours per week, 5 - 8 children)
Through storytelling, your child will develop an early awareness of rhythm, movement, singing, and drama. Each lesson features a new tale from around the world, explored through multi-instrument and multi-cultural elements. All told, it’s an around-the-imagination adventure of the greatest stories from Europe, Malaysia, South Africa, and more. Thematic food served each week. Home Materials include: Book, CD, pair of Lumi Sticks, poster & materials for 5 crafts.

Summer Musical Theatre Camp: 7-12 years old
(5 hours per day & evening show, M-F, 10-15 students)
Children create their own musical from the ground up and perform it on the last night of camp. They train with our theatre director, voice coach & dance instructor. All of our instructors are professional music instructors and
performers with many years experience working with
children. Each child receives a part in the production and builds the set, designs props, learns dance choreography, blocking, and songs that tell a story. While the focus is to have fun and learn to work together to create a show, children also get specialized training in acting, dance, note reading, vocal technique and ensemble singing. Students bring a bag lunch, healthy snacks are provided.

Small Group Instrument Classes: ages vary
We offer small group instrument classes in a variety of traditional instruments. Classes are 45-60 minutes per week for 5 weeks. Children who take this series learn music theory, graphic notation & fun songs to play. Children can continue in the fall with group or private lessons.
